CZ had a few releases for 2026, though I didn’t see much fanfare behind them. While none of it was groundbreaking, there was one “new” model that tickled my fancy a little bit.
First up are some new colorways for the CZ Shadow 2 Compact. Each features an almost nickel-like brushed frame, with a blue-ish, lavender-ish set of grips. Four different matte colors are available for the slides, including a yellow gold, and rose gold. While these aren’t my cup of tea, I’m sure the growing group of Shadow 2 Compact carriers will enjoy something further off the beaten path.
Next is what initially sent me over to the CZ booth, courtesy of some friend’s posts on social media. CZ is releasing an updated variant of the original CZ-75, known as the CZ 75 Legend. This means we have a hammer spur, rounded trigger guard, retro grip panels, and the classic short rail giving it a stepped slab sided appearance. Do these features improve performance? Certainly not, but they give the gun a retro vibe that CZ collectors and Gunsmith Cats enthusiasts are sure to love. I’m tempted to pick one up, but I’m not sure how much readers would care for my Rally Vincent cosplay.
