New MSR10 Precision Rifle From Savage

Savage has added the new MSR10 Precision Rifle to their rifle lineup giving you yet another option for a precision-focused AR-10 sized rifle. Currently, the rifle is only available in .308 Winchester with more calibers likely coming in the future, no official word on what calibers will be coming or when though. Here is to hoping it’s 6.5 Creedmoor.

TangoDown’s Flip Grip is a nice addition giving the option of a 90-degree grip angle, which is ideal for precision shooting in my opinion.

The MSR10 Precision Rifle sports a 22.5″ stainless steel barrel with 1:10 twist rate 5R rifling which should provide pretty good results on the range. An adjustable gas block should allow you to fine tune the rifle to shoot as soft as possible when you dial it into your load and get a fast second sight picture.

Ambi controls and compatibility with .308 PMAGs keeping with the industry standard.

An 18″ Arca Swiss dovetail compatible M-LOK handguard, Magpul PRS stock and TangoDown Flip Grip round out the furniture on the MSR10 Precision Rifle. Savage also fitted a two-stage trigger but hasn’t said who is making it which leads me to think it is an in-house or private label trigger.

Savage used the excellent Magpul PRS stock on the MSR10 Precision Rifle.

The Savage MSR10 Precision Rifle will run you a whopping $2,499 if you end up paying MSRP, but it does come with a bunch of features offsetting the price point some. No word on when dealers are going to be getting them on shelves or what the street prices will look like, but I imagine it should come in at just under $2,000 at retailers.

This exciting extension of Savage’s MSR 10 lineup delivers match-winning accuracy with a stainless steel heavy barrel and 5R button rifling. It’s competition-worthy right out of the box with upgrades like an 18-inch Arca handguard, Magpul PRS stock and TangoDown Battlegrip Flip Grip, which quickly rotates from 24 degrees of rake to vertical. Its semi-automatic action is fed by a +2 gas system that can be adjusted for optimal cycling of your specific ammunition.
