One of the most interesting releases of SHOT Show 2025 came from Aridus Industries. During the pre-SHOT Beretta range day Aridus unveiled their long awaited Imperium Handguard for the Beretta 1301.
The Imperium handguard is solid aluminum replacement for the OEM polymer forend. Unlike the factory offering, the Imperium fully encloses the barrel. This allows shooters to utilize modern C-clamp style grips, along with providing protection for the shooting hand during violin style reloads along with CQB short-stocking techniques.
In addition to the full barrel coverage offered by the Imperium, shooters have access to full-length MLOK slots at the 3 and 9-0’clock positions. This provides easy mounting for lights, slings, and other accessories. Texturing on the handguard is solid without being aggressive, providing a good purchase without tearing up hands. Despite the full aluminum construction, the Imperium handguard comes in at only 12.5 ounces, helping keep the weight down for long range days.
If you’re wanting a heat shield, or fully enclosed handguard for your Beretta, the Imperium from Aridus is THE correct answer. Aridus is often imitated, but never duplicated.
MSRP on the Imperium Handguard is $300, with an anticipated release of April 2025. You can check out Aridus Industries >>HERE<<
