Recently I had the opportunity to attend the inaugural Rangemaster Advanced Shotgun Instructor Development Course. One of my fellow students was Ashton Ray of 360 Performance Shooting. During class Ashton showed us a product he’s been developing, the 360 Kit Adapter. What is the 360 Kit Adapter? Let’s take a look.
Many people in the defensive shotgun world talk about how virtually all stocks are overly long for most shooters. To remedy this, people will cut them down or find aftermarket solutions to help improve fitment. Even with these options, sometimes things are just too long. This is magnified with shorter statured shooters, or those who wear armor in the line of duty. This is where Ashton steps in with the help of Dark Star Gear.
With this partnership, they’ve developed the 360 Kit Adapter. This is a replacement buttpad for Magpul SGA stocks. Here’s how Dark Star describes it:
The 360 Kit Adapter was conceived by Ashton Ray of 360 Performance Shooting and brought to life by Dark Star Gear. It fits your Magpul SGA stock and offers a smoother, snag free texture, while shortening the length of pull to clear kit or better fit shorter shooters.
During class I got to see a handful of shooters, to include Jonathan Willis of TDI and Gunset Training use theirs, with glowing reviews. As an added bonus, Ashton handed out a few to folks in class! I’ll be putting mine through its paces in the coming months, so stand by for an in-depth review of this product.
The 360 Kit Adapter features an MSRP of $47.99. These were available early for purchase to a select few from the Rangemaster Alumni circle, so check the group for access!

If you made it this far, thanks for reading! Writing isn’t my full-time profession, and nearly everything I do comes out of my own pocket. Between ammunition, tuition, range fees and more, expenses add up fast. If you like what I have to offer, consider making a donation to my Patreon.
Every bit helps bring more work like this to you, and contributes to shortened timelines or more in-depth work on my part.
