Earlier today Trijicon announced their newest red dot optic, the RMRcc. Specifically designed for slimline pistols such as the Glock 48 or a 1911, the RMRcc is essentially a scaled down version of the legendary RMR.
Users will find the RMRcc instantly familiar. The bat-ear shape housing is retained for durability. Power still comes from a bottom mounted CR2032 battery, potentially giving years of life. Brightness settings are adjusted via sealed + and – buttons on either side of the housing. Shooters have the choice of either 3.25 or 6.5MOA dot reticles to suit their preferences.
New features include a proprietary footprint. This stems from the miniaturized footprint compared to the RMR, while still retaining CR2032 batteries. Currently companies such as ATEi and C&H Precision are supporting this new footprint with direct milling and mounting plates. Another change is the 3MOA per click adjustments for elevation and windage. This turns into roughly 3/4 inch at 25 yards, meaning a slightly less refined ability to zero compared to larger optics.
MSRP on the Trijicon RMRcc is $699, with street prices being the same. You can check out more details on Trijicon’s website >>HERE<<
