Earlier today we had some of the first drops of SHOT Show week, one day early. Today’s announcements is something that I’ve been waiting on for a few weeks, and am eager to get my hands on for myself. Smith & Wesson has collaborated with Lipsey’s along with Darryl Bolke and Bryan Eastridge of American Fighting Revolver. Together, they’ve created the Ultimate Carry J-Frame.
The Ultimate Carry J-Frames are based on the 442/642 and the 432/632 lines, with some serious upgrades. If you weren’t familiar with those numbers, they are airweight, Centennial frame, .38 Special and .32 H&R Magnum snub nose revolvers. Each charge hole has been chamfered to help with loading, and the triggers are improved for better precision.
XS night-sights top the gun for high visibility in light or dark conditions. Best of all, there is no internal lock on any of the four models. I’m especially interested in the .32 H&R version, for a little more ammo with a little less recoil. As an additional bonus, Lost River Ammunition is supporting the Ultimate Carry J-Frame with a new line of .32 H&R Magnum ammunition.

In the description it says aluminum frame, I have not been able to find where it says of what the cylinder is made?
Should be stainless steel. These use the 442/642/etc as their base gun before getting upgrades, so I imagine the cylinder is the same across the board.
No .357?
No, currently just .38 Special +P and .32H&R Magnmum. There are other guns coming out in the near future, but .357 wasn't in the cards here.
