Spiritus Systems – SHOT Show 2020

Spiritus Systems Sierratac Sling

Spiritus Systems had several new products on display during SHOT Show 2020.

Spiritus Systems is updating the Sierratac Sling for 2020. The sling is made from 500D codura, and features 1″ webbing. Adjustments are made via the ITW Nexus aluminum glides. This allows the shooter to rapidly adjust their sling length to best fit the situation at hand. A slot has been milled into the ITW glides for the addition of a pull tab if desired. Padding is lightweight, but effective, keeping down bulk and weight while improving comfort.

Spiritus Systems currently does not have a release date for the Sierratac sling, but it is expected to be available within the coming weeks. Price will be competitive with options from Blue Force Gear and similar slings. Sierratac is available in Black, FDE, Ranger Green, Wolf Grey, Multicam, Multicam Black, Multicam Tropical, Multicam Arid, and M81 Woodland.

Hybrid Plate Carrier Back Panel

The star of the show at the Spiritus booth was their latest back panel for their plate carrier line. Modularity is the name of the game with the hybrid back panel, taking cues from standard packs and assaulter equipment. Panels are mix and match, being retained via a mix of velcro, locking zippers, and MOLLE. Pouches offer the ability to pass equipment between them and the carrier, allowing the use of wiring, hydration tubes, or large tools. As is standard with Spiritus pouches, grommets are included at the bottom for drainage and tourniquet attachment.

The only permanent pouch on the Hybrid carrier is the bottom most pouch. This is sized to accept a Harris LV119 radio, along with other equipment. Pouch flaps can be reconfigured to close using clips to remain secure during jumps and high intensity movements.

Spiritus Systems does not currently have a price point for the Hybrid Back Panel. Release date is sometime in the coming weeks.
