NEW MPS 2.0 Red Dot from Steiner

steiner mps 2 red dot

Today while browsing the internet, I found something new which seems to largely be flying under the radar. This something is a new red dot optic from Steiner! Specifically we’re looking at an updated version of the MPS, simply known as the MPS 2.0.

Steiner MPS 2.0

If you’re familiar with the MPS, then the 2.0 will be a logical progression of technology. For those unfamiliar, check out my review from 2023. I’ve continued using the MPS since then, with it living on a Beretta A300UP, giving a stellar performance there. Changes coming to the new optic address virtually all of my gripes with the original model, which is great to see.

Changes include upgrading the battery to a CR2032, which Steiner estimates as giving 90,000 hours of battery life at brightness level 4. The battery cap has also been changed to use a standard flathead screwdriver rather than the proprietary tool required of the original model. Brightness adjustment buttons have been substantially enlarged, making them easier to use with gloved hands. The serrations on the housing have also been shrunken, which should alleviate discomfort during remedial action.

The MPS 2.0 footprint is still the same as the ACRO, so no new mounts necessary. The reticle is 3.3MOA, with 1MOA adjustments and a 90MOA total adjustment range. There are 8 brightness settings, including 2 for night vision. The optic is waterproof to 35 meters, and weighs 2.32oz.

MSRP on the new Steiner MPS 2.0 sits at $631.99 as of this writing. You can check out more from Steiner directly >>HERE<<.
